The founder of Shield for All Seasons migrated to the United States in 1998 after growing up in the Democratic Republic of Congo, a country impacted by years of instability, poverty, and violence. At just 19 years old, she was separated from her family and friends in search of greater opportunities and a safer future. Witnessing firsthand the challenges faced by vulnerable children and families instilled in her a lifelong desire to create positive change and provide hope where it is needed most.

After graduating from George Mason University, she began a career in the nonprofit sector, gaining invaluable experience leading teams and managing development and humanitarian projects. The opportunities she received in the United States allowed her to build both an education and a professional foundation that she could use to give back to children and youth in the Democratic Republic of Congo, as well as African immigrant communities and young people in the United States who are navigating the challenges of building their futures.

Guided by her Christian faith and her commitment as a mother to creating a better future for the next generation, she believes that every individual has a purpose and the ability to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others. Her vision is rooted in service, compassion, and partnership with others who share the mission of bringing hope, strengthening communities, and creating opportunities for those in need.

This sense of responsibility and accountability to make a difference in children’s lives inspired her to establish Shield for All Seasons. With more than 25 years of professional experience in development and humanitarian settings, she brings extensive expertise in grant management, financial oversight, quality assurance, performance monitoring, compliance, and operational leadership. Today, that experience serves as the foundation for an organization dedicated to empowering children, youth, and families through food, mentorship, mental wellness support, leadership development, and compassionate community engagement.
